With the New Year there are always some resolutions about going back to sports and I am not an exception. With sports, nutrition is equally important and what we eat before and after is crucial. Knowing what your body needs is also a plus. I know my body usually craves proteins and something with fat content after a workout, so I always end up eating some eggs, tofu or nothing at all which isn’t great. I decided to explore alternatives and found that some granola and yogurt is great. Store-bought granola usually has a lot of sugar, so I’ve decided to make my own, 0 fuss 4 ingredient vegan granola recipe to fight against unnecessary sugar!
Also, before we get into the recipe, I’d like to say that below all the recipe cards there will be a french translation of the recipe included! Be sure to check it out.

Vegan Granola Recipe: The shortest ingredient list
Buckle up for the shortest and easiest ingredient list to be ever featured in tofucado:
- Oats
- Peanut Butter (Or any other type of vegan butter)
- Maple Syrup (If you aren’t vegan, you can use honey)
- Nuts
- Optional toppings: Dark chocolate, Banana, dates, dried fruits….
That’s it! That’s all you need.

How do you make it?
The ingredient list is easy but the instructions are also su-per easy! You are going to need one mixing bowl and an oven tray that has lined with parchment paper (And an oven, too!). You will mix all the ingredients in a bowl, then place them in an oven tray and just cook the granola for a bit.
Storing the granola
I have a couple of jars at home that work really well to store the granola. I left mine in the cupboard at room temperature with the rest of my breakfast stuff, that way it is rather easy to find. If you don’t have any jars like mine, an air-tight container will do the work.

4 Ingredient Vegan Granola
Ingredients
- 1 and 1/2 cups Oats
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 cup nuts
- Optional: Dark chocolate, banana, dates, dried fruits, …
Instructions
- Pre-heat the oven at 170ºC.
- In a mixing bowl, add the nuts (You can lightly chop them up), the oats, the peanut butter and maple syrup.
- Mix super well, making sure all the ingredients are well-mixed and forming kinda like a paste. It is going to be a bit hard to mix, but keep on going.
- In the lined tray, add all the mixture and line it all gently into an even layer. With the help of a spoon, break the mixture into some chunks, but don't go crazy (like I did), or you'll end up with very small chunks.
- Put the tray in the oven and cook for about 20 minutes. Mid-way through the cooking time, shake a bit the tray so the chunks move a bit.
- Take it out of the oven when you start seeing the granola chunks golden a bit. Let it cool down for around 30 minutes, or just store it in an air-tight container and use it later.
